Admission Guidelines for the Academic Year 2010-11
The School offers 4 years Full Time Graduate Programme in:
•Product Design (Curriculum Developed by NID)
•Communication Design
•Interiors & Furniture Design
Entry Requirements:
Admission is open to students who have passed or who will appear in 2011 for qualifying examinations under Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalents like CBSE/AISSCE/IB/ICSE, etc.
Students Intake: 60 Students
Selection Process: Design Aptitude Test & Portfolio Review
The objective of Design Aptitude Test is to measure the candidate’s aptitude for the field of design involving general mental ability, worldview, and sensitivity to environment, creativity, drawing and communication skills.
For candidates who have applied for NID entrance Exam: 9 & 10 June 2011,
Thursday & Friday.
Based on NID Aptitude score candidates will be short listed and called directly for second phase of admission — Portfolio review and personal interviews.
Lateral Entry:
Eligible candidates can apply for our lateral entry process, where they join the 4-year programme at the 2nd or the 3rd year level in Product Design, Communication Design, Interiors & Furniture Design. Candidates will undergo similar process and should have either been a student in other design institutes or have sufficient proven experience of being in a creative field. These candidates would be considered on a case to case basis.
How to obtain Application Form and Prospectus:
•The Prospectus and Application Forms are available online and also at the IILM School of Design, Gurgaon. The downloaded form may be duly filled and sent to the official address by post/courier, addressed to" The Dean, IILM School of Design"
, along with DD for an amount of Rs 1000/- drawn in favour of IILM Institute for Higher Education payable at New Delhi/ Gurgaon will also be accepted.

Please Note :

Students who have appeared for NID exam are exempted from Design Aptitude Test and can directly
appear for the Portfolio review and Interview.
